Summary
WebDev.ai ships Chrome addons. We collect as little as possible. No account is required.
ClientSnap
Local by default. Screenshots and annotations stay on your device when you Save or Copy. Nothing is uploaded unless you tap Share.
Temporary public shares. Share uploads the annotated image to webdev.ai, stores a short ID and expiry, and returns a public link (https://webdev.ai/s/…). Default retention is 7 days, then the image is removed. Anyone with the link can view it until then. We may keep basic technical logs (IP, user-agent) for rate limits and abuse prevention.
We don’t sell screenshots, use them for ads, or train third-party AI on your shares.
Permissions. activeTab, storage, and scripting support capture and annotate on the tab you invoke. Host access to webdev.ai is used only when you Share.
Tab Tracker
100% local. Tab counts and settings stay in chrome.storage.local. No network calls, no analytics, no upload.
DeviceStage
Local overlay. DeviceStage previews sites in phone and tablet frames in your browser. Previews and settings stay on your device. Export PNG and Share copy to the clipboard — there is no server upload for DeviceStage shares.
We don’t sell preview data, use it for ads, or train third-party AI on pages you open.
Permissions. activeTab, scripting, and tabs inject the overlay on pages you choose to preview. storage remembers recent devices and settings. webNavigation and declarativeNetRequest keep device previews accurate inside frames. Broad host access is required so the overlay can wrap the sites you open — not to scrape or upload page content to our servers.
